Nazareth School of NU, Zobel stay unbeaten in UAAP girls volley

Two-time defending champion Nazaraeth School of NU and La Salle Zobel handily beat their respective foes to stay perfect in the UAAP Season 79 girls volleyball tournament Saturday at the Adamson University Gym. 

Led by former MVP Faith Nisperos, the Lady Bullpups made short work of the Lady Baby Falcons, 25-10, 25-16, 25-21, while the Junior Lady Spikers routed UPIS, 25-3, 25-23, 25-8.

NSNU and DLSZ both improved to 3-0 to keep a joint hold of the league lead. Meanwhile, UST, which drew a bye, is the league’s other unbeaten team at 2-0.

In the other girls’ clash, FEU-Diliman came back from the dead to beat UE, 22-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-8, to enter the win column after back-to-back losses.

The Baby Lady Falcons and the Junior Lady Warriors fell to 0-2, while the Junior Lady Maroons are still winless in three contests.

There are no high school games Sunday due to the UPCAT and action resumes next Saturday.
