Wednesday will be a jampacked one for Jaja Santiago, as she plans to go straight to the Shakey’s V-League semifinals after playing for Foton Pilipinas in the Asian Women’s Club Championship.
Santiago will traverse the 38-kilometer distance between the Alonte Sports Arena and the Philsports Arena as she tries to help both the Lady Bulldogs and Foton chalk up important wins.
According to the 6-foot-5 middle blocker, Foton will face Kazakhstan at 11:30am.
Santiago won’t have scheduling issues if the game pushes through in the morning, but she will not get enough rest and recovery before they take on UP at 4:00pm.
Santiago has shown now signs of slowing down even with a draining schedule shifting from the semi-pro club to her collegiate duties.
In fact, she even poured 22 big points off 17 hits, 3 blocks and 2 aces in their 4-set win against the Lady Maroons.
— By John Chester Fajardo
