Jaja Santiago slowed down by flu in NU’s 1st loss

Noticed something odd in Jaja Santiago’s performance?

Apparently, Santiago has been suffering from a flu for already three days, and the timing proved to be fatal as the Lady Bulldogs suffered their first loss in the Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference.

The 6-foot-5 middle blocker scored 11 points in their loss, but considering the standards she set throughout this year, it was way below-par.

According to Santiago, both the liberos of the team are also suffering from influenza, thus their sluggish play inside the court.

Consecutively training for the Foton Tornadoes and the Lady Bulldogs may have wore Santiago down but she quickly denied having problems in training schedules.

– By John Chester Fajardo
