Jaja Santiago to skip Foton’s training in Thailand

Jaja Santiago will miss Foton’s 9-day trip in Thailand as preparation for the 2016 Asian Women’s Volleyball Club Championship.

NU Lady Bulldogs assistant coach Edjet Mabbayad confirmed the 6-foot-5 spiker won’t be able to participate in the training-competition featuring teams from Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia due to academic responsibilities.

Just after the Game 3 of the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference Finals, coach Vilet Ponce de Leon earlier confirmed Maria Acevedo and Carol Cerveza will not join them in the camp, also because of academic reasons. – By Chester Fajardo
