F2 bucks slow start to whip Foton and capture Super Liga title

F2 Logistics overcame a sluggish start by playing with more aggression as the Cargo Movers hammered out an 18-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-17 win over Foton in their sudden death match to capture the Philippine Super Liga All Filipino Conference championship Wednesday at the San Juan Arena.

It was F2’s first franchise title in their debut season at the PSL.

The Cargo Movers sealed the title via a 6-2 run just as the Tornadoes started closing in in the fourth set to complete their mission.

F2 libero Dawn Macandili was named the Finals MVP.

Ara Galang, Kim Dy and Aby Marano led the run for F2 with 12, 11 and 10 points respectively.

Jaja Santiago had a game-high 20 points but it was not enough as the Tornadoes fail to win in their second trip to the indoor Finals. – John Chester Fajardo
