F2 Logistics stamped its class with a masterful win over Petron in the PSL All-Filipino Conference Tuesday at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum.
Ara Galang was the lone Cargo Mover in double figures with 12 points, but 7 other F2 Logistics spikers joined Galang in the scoring column in taking down the Tri-Activ Spikers.
And while coach Ramil de Jesus is happy with the win, he believes it’s just a prelude to more meetings they’re likely to have with Petron down the line.
“Siguro naka chamba kami ngayong araw na to. Naka adjust lang ng konti yung team,” he said.
The Cargo Movers didn’t need to do as much as the Tri-Activ Spikers were shooting themselves at the foot by committing error after error in each set. Petron had 33 unforced miscues while F2 Logistics only had 19.
De Jesus and crew will wrap up their elimination-round campaign on Saturday against RC Cola-Army — the only other unbeaten team in the tournament.
On their titanic matchup, the veteran coach said he is more excited for his players, most of whom ‘idolize’ players from the Lady Troopers.
“Let’s see kung anong mangyari. Kailangan sipag kasi veteran na yung mga andun so kailangan pagurin.” — By Joyce Palad
