It was a mighty comeback that kept fans at the Philsports Arena and those watching at home on the edge of their seats throughout.
Pocari Sweat essayed an epic battle from 2 sets down to stun Bali Pure in a pulsating 5-setter before a wild crowd in the 13th Shakey’s V-League Open Conference Saturday night.
After a lethargic second-set performance, the Lady Warriors turned up the heat on the Purest Water Defenders in the last 3 frames to complete the 21-25, 6-25, 26-24, 27-25, 19-17 victory.
Myla Pablo led Pocari Sweat with 24 points, including the match-clinching kill, while Elaine Kasilag bailed the Lady Warriors out when it mattered most to finish with 20 markers.
On the other hand, Alyssa Valdez led all scorers with 32 points off 29 kills, 2 aces and a block while 3 more Bali Pure spikers hit double-digits.
With the win, Pocari moves to 6-0, armed with a chance to complete a sweep of the elimination round when they face Air Force on Monday.
