Injured right shoulder bothering F2 Logistics star Cha Cruz

F2 Logistics star Cha Cruz struggled for the second straight game, scoring just 6 points as the Cargo Movers thumped Amy’s Kitchen in their PSL All-Filipino Conference battle Thursday night at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Cruz admitted that her right shoulder has continued to bother her, but stressed it is no excuse for her subpar performance.

“Nung pagbalik din kasi sa training, namamaga yung shoulder ko pero wala namang punit and all that,” she said. “I don’t want to make it a reason kung bakit di ako nakakalaro ng maayos.”

“So far di pa ko 100 percent. Honestly, aminado naman ako. Nakikita naman din sa loob na hindi pa talaga. Pero lalaban parin ako. Lahat ng kailangan ko para mas maging better, yung shoulder ko din, para makaabot ako sakanila,” she added.

With F2 ahead of the pack with a clean 2-0 record, Cruz is thankful that the tournament has just started and there is still room for her to catch up.

“Ako kailangan pa mag double, triple time, and kung ano pang effort na kailangan ko ibigay,” she said. “Pero I’m still motivated pa naman. Syempre adjusting parin ako and pinipilit ko naman. Buti nalang sa umpisa pa namin nakiita kung ano yung kulang para mas mag gel kami in the long run kasi ang haba ng league.”

“Ang dami ko lang talagang kulang. I don’t want to blame anyone. Di ko sinasabing may kulang sila or nahirapan ako. Siguro di pa lang talaga makasabay yung shoulders ko. I’m still getting a lot of therapy and all that para maging okay,” said the UAAP Season 74 Finals MVP. — By Joyce Palad
