Kim Dy, La Salle oust NU, send UP into Final Four

With Kim Dy having the best game of her collegiate career, La Salle had an easy time dispatching of NU in 4 sets in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament Wednesday at the FilOil Flying Center in San Juan.

Dy, who had 25 points off 15 hits, 5 blocks and 5 aces, fired on all cylinders as the Lady Spikers trounced the Lady Bulldogs, 25-14, 21-25, 25-19, 25-15, dashing the latter’s Final Four hopes in the process.

With the win, La Salle finishes the elimination round with an 11-3 record and will face FEU in the semifinals while UP, who benefited from the Lady Spikers’ triumph, will take on defending champion and top seed Ateneo.
