After losing back-to-back games, NU regained its mojo by repeating over Adamson, 25-23, 25-23, 25-27, 25-22, in the UAAP Season 78 men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Center.
Coach Dante Alinsunurin praised the Bulldogs, who were on-point on both ends of service and floor defense.
“Maganda yung gising ng team ko e,” he said.
NU also beat the Soaring Falcons in their opening game, but Alinsunurin noted that the team they faced in Round 2 was a lot different.
Facing UE on Wednesday and Ateneo next Sunday, Alinsunurin is hopeful to be able to have an easy win against the struggling Red Warriors and use the momentum to their advantage as they face their finals rival.
Madz Gampong led the scoring for NU with 19 points while James Natividad and Bryan Bagunas were not far behind with 14 points apiece.
As for Adamson, Jerome Sarmiento was the team’s lead scorer with 20 points. — By Arylle Magtalas
