As UST climbed back into the thick of things in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball wars, several Golden Tigresses have stepped up unexpectedly.
Last Wednesday, it was Tin Francisco who was coach Kung Fu Reyes’s ace up his sleeve.
Replacing former Best Blocker Ria Meneses in the starting lineup, Francisco rose to the challenge and then some.
“Nung hinugot ako, parang all out na kasi last game eh. Kailangan maganda yung sarado ng (first round),” the middle spiker said.
Francisco said Reyes specifically told her to simply focus on her role within the system and not on anything else.
Suddenly being thrust into a major role would be negative for some, but for Francisco, it wasn’t hard adjusting to the pressure.
— By Arylle Magtalas
