After a rough opening set, F2 Logistics put on a show and totally demolished the New San Jose Builders, 25-23, 25-10, 25-4, in the PSL Invitational Thursday at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Cargo Movers coach Mayi Prochina blamed unforced errors for her team’s slow start, but lauded her wards as they moved into a tie for 1st place with a 1-0 record.
“Masaya, of course, kasi ngayon lang kami nabuo,” she said. “Sobrang tense pa yung mga bata. Gigil na gigil pa sila.”
“Fulfilling lang kasi two weeks lang kami nag ensayo,” Prochina added.
With F2 Logistics banking on its floor defense, the San Jose Victorias made 33 unforced errors while only converting on 20 attacks.
Danika Gendrauli had 10 points for the Cargo Movers while Lilet Mabbayad and Pau Soriano each added 8 markers.
Maribeth Lara and Lourdes Clemente had 8 and 6 points, respectively, for the Builders. — By Joyce Palad
