The Chicago Bulls continued to perform well in front of their home fans, posting a 102-97 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Pau Gasol scored 19 for Chicago as well as claiming 13 rebounds, but Nicolas Batum was the most impressive scorer on night, scoring 28 of the Hornets' points.
In what was the closest match of the night, the Memphis Grizzlies hung on to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 101-100.
The lead continued to change hands throughout the first three quarters, but after Grizzlies opened up a nine-point lead heading into the final quarter, it seemed as if the result was a foregone conclusion. However, the TBs outscored their opponents in the final stages and fell just one short of what would have been a remarkable comeback.

Oklahoma City Thunder was far too good for Philadelphia 76ers. Russell Westbrook had his second straight triple-double as Thunder crushed the 76ers 102-85.
Dallas Mavericks beat LA Lakers 90-82 while the Denver Nuggets romped past the Houston Rockets, winning 107-98.
Danilo Gallinari scored 27 for the Nuggets while James Harden impressed for the Rockets with 28 points.
In the night's final match, the Sacramento Kings recorded a narrow 111-109 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
DeMarcus Cousins contributed 40 points to the Kings' cause with 13 rebounds and one assist, while Jarrett Jack with 21 points, one rebound and 12 assists was the most effective player for the visitors.
