Donaire, a five-division world champion, will be fighting in the Philippines at the end of March 2015, his first bout since his knockout by Nicholas Waters in October 2014. Donaire was defending his WBA (Super) Featherweight Championship the Jamaican and he lost to Walters by TKO in the 6th round.
The 'Filipino Flash' has never been knocked out before, and he will be looking to add a win to his 33-3 record when he steps into the ring again.
Donaire said: "I have to gain back my speed power and intensity. We already see a big progress in terms of power, now we are working on strategy."
He added: "I get to say thank you to all the fans and have them see the fight. I'll come back stronger. When you fall you gotta come back stronger."
