Previously known as the Thailand Golf Classic, the inaugural US$2 million True Thailand Classic is part of the Asian and European Tours, and will be held at Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin from February 12-15.
True Group Executive Director, Kachorn Chiaravanont said: "Thailand is one of 26 countries that host European Tour tournaments leading to the crowning of Europe's No. 1 golfer in the Race to Dubai.

European Tour stars competing include Nicolas ‘Belgian Bomber’ Colsaerts, Spanish legend Miguel Angel Jimenez, Thomas Bjorn of Denmark, English stars Simon Dyson and David Howell, Scotland No. 2 Marc Warren, Johan Edfors of Sweden and Jeev Milka Singh of India.
Thongchai Jaidee, winner of 13 Asian Tour titles and six European Tour titles, will lead the local charge. Thaworn Wiratchant, who has a record 18 Asian Tour titles, Prayad Marksaeng, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Prom Meesawat, Chapchai Nirat and Gunn Charoenkul are among other Thai players looking for a home victory.
American David Lipsky and India No. 1 and Anirban Lahiri, first and second on the 2014 Asian Tour Order of Merit respectively, will also compete, along with Koumei Oda of Japan.
