Ramsey to stay for next match

QPR went down 1-0 to third-placed Saints at Loftus Road as Saido Mane???s last-minute strike denied Ramsey a point in his first game since replacing former manager Harry Redknapp in midweek.

However, Ramsey revealed he and his assistant Kevin Bond will be in the dugout at the Stadium of Light next week, despite heavy speculation linking former Tottenham Hotspur coach Tim Sherwood with the role in west London.

???Myself and Kevin will take the team again on Tuesday and then we will re-evaluate after that,??? Ramsey said in his post-match press conference.

???I am happy to keep the seat warm for as long as the owners see fit.???

Ramsey said his players could not have given him any more than they did against Southampton, with both top-scorer Charlie Austin and veteran centre-back Richard Dunne having left the ground on crutches after the match with suspected long-term injuries.

???The boys have given all they could,??? Ramsey told Sky Sports. ???Some were even limping at the end due to cramp.

???But that is the story of the season so far. There have been some good performances where we have not ended up with the points.

???The main thing now is to put this behind us as quickly as possible, take the positives out of it and try and tighten up on the negative parts that cost us at the end.???
