Confusion surrounded Pearson’s future after sources claimed the 51-year-old had been dismissed by the Premier League strugglers early on Sunday evening.
Reports of Pearson’s sacking came a day after the Leicester boss was involved in a bizarre incident during his side’s 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The Leicester manager was involved in a fracas with James McArthur after the Palace midfielder had accidentally felled the Leicester boss.
Pearson had initially appeared to playfully grab McArthur around the throat, before helping him to his feet, only to then prevent him from returning to the pitch by grabbing hold of his shirt.
But Leicester denied he had been sacked, confirming he will be in charge for Tuesday night???s trip to face Arsenal.
A statement on the club’s website said: “Leicester City Football Club would like to clarify its position relative to its manager, Nigel Pearson.
???Contrary to media speculation on Sunday evening, Nigel remains the Club???s First Team Manager. Reports to the contrary are inaccurate and without foundation.???
Pearson, whose Leicester side are bottom of the Premier League, is expected to be probed about his situation at the club during this afternoon???s press conference ahead of the visit to Arsenal.
