Thunder hammer Clippers

The Clippers were without Blake Griffin, who is expected to be out for between four and six weeks due to a staph infection in his right elbow and, in the absence of the all-Star, they slumped to their heaviest loss of the season.

Russell Westbrook had 19 points, 11 rebounds and five assists for the Thunder while rookie Mitch McGary had 19 points and 10 rebounds

Jamal Crawford came off the bench to lead Los Angeles with 21 points but the Clippers have now lost four in a row and have slipped to a 33-19 record, while the Thunder improved to 26-26.

Elsewhere, Memphis Grizzlies beat the Atlanta Hawks 94-88 in a match-up between two quality sides.

The game was level at 86-86 after Mike Scott hit a three-pointer for Atlanta but Memphis scored the next eight points to put away the game.

Memphis point guard Mike Conley had 21 points and six assists, and Marc Gasol finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, as the Grizzlies took their record to 38-13 while Atlanta are now 42-10.

Cleveland Cavaliers returned to winning ways with a 120-105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kevin Love scored a season-high 32 points for the Cavaliers and LeBron James weighed in with 22 points, plus 10 rebounds and eight assists, in three quarters of action.

Cleveland had an 11-game winning run halted on Friday but took their record to 32-21 with this victory.

In Toronto, James Johnson scored a season-high 20 points in his return to the starting line-up and DeMar DeRozan had 18 as the Raptors beat the Spurs 87-82 to deny San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich his 1,000th career victory.

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Houston Rockets 109-98 after LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points and Damian Lillard added 23.

And Pau Gasol dunked in the rebound after Derrick Rose missed a lay-up with 9.4 seconds left as the Chicago Bulls rallied to beat the Orlando Magic 98-97.
