South Africa and India's players were once again left to entertain themselves indoors in Bangalore as day four of the second Test was abandoned without a ball bowled, the same fate that befell days two and three.
So 270 overs have now been lost to the weather, with only day one seeing action, and South Africa fans will be the more pleased by far as India ended the first day well on top. They were on 80 for none, after bowling the Proteas out for 214.
Day four nearly saw some action though, with the weather clearing in the afternoon, but the ground took far too long to drain, and the umpires had to have three inspections before deeming it fit for play.
But just before the players were set to warm up, at 2pm, the clouds arrived again and the rain stopped any hopes of play.
As such, with day five set to be clear, South Africa are set for a drawn Test, leaving them at one-nil down in the series with two games to play. This will be a relief after their dire effort with the bat.
