The 25-year-old American is well known for his controversial behaviour inside and outside the ring, but has vowed to become a better role model after attracting strong criticism.
Broner launched a foul-mouthed, racially-insensitive rant after his win over Carlos Molina last year, earning him a suspension from the WBC, and he vowed to watch his words if he defeats another Molina in Las Vegas this weekend.
He told Behind the Gloves website: ???I don???t have to scale back, but I do have to be a little bit cautious and just think, ???how would I feel if my kids are watching this????
???So, now I know I???m more than just a boxer and an entertainer, I???m a role model for the kids that are going to be watching.???
Although he still carries the extravagant nickname ???About Billions???, Broner insists he has tried to tone down his reputation for excess.
He said: ???The way I???ve matured, the way I look at things now, there???s a time for things and sometimes you???ve got to chill out a little bit, and this is a time for chilling. It can turn up anytime though, it is what it is with me.
???I???m still the same on my job and my play time, but when emotions are going after a victory, anything can slip out of my mouth. I???m definitely going to watch what I say now.???
A humbling defeat by Marcos Maidana forced Broner to rebuild with two wins and he can pave the way for another world title shot if gets past Molina Jr at the MGM Grand.
During his firefight with the Argentine puncher, Broner was floored twice, but he is willing to stand and trade again with his Californian foe this weekend.
???You never know what a fight brings, so we???re going to make this fight look as easy as possible, but if it comes out to be a war, I???ll be ready for it,??? said the three-weight world champion.??
