Six successive wins and counting for Barca

Striker Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before Luis Suarez made it 2-0 just 10 minutes into the second half. Marc Bartra found the back of the net as well before Suarez slotted home his second goal of the match to hand Barcelona an emphatic victory.

Almeria were lucky not to concede more goals as their defense offered littlresistance throughout the match.

Barcelona's first opportunity to score came in the 13th minute, but Messi's header was easily gobbled up by Almeria keeper Julian.

However, Barcelona were given a major scare just moments later when Almeria nearly took the lead through Wellington Silva's low shot. But, instead of finding the back of the net, Silva's shot was deflected wide by Pedro.

Following Almeria's attempt to score, Barcelona pushed into another gear and were rewarded for their more aggressive approach when Messi skirted past two defenders and curled the ball into the far corner from a very tight angle to complete a sensational goal.

Despite squandering numerous chances to go 2-0 up prior to half-time, Barcelona eventually netted home their second goal in the 55th minute when Suarez weaved his way into the penalty area and unleashed a scorching shot, which Julian could only deflect into the top corner.

Barcelona found themselves 3-0 up in the 75th minute when centre-back Batra headed home his first goal of the season from a brilliant corner by Xavi Hernandez.

The fans at the Nou Camp were on their feet cheering once again just four minutes later, but their celebrations were brought to an abrupt end when Messi's goal was ruled offside.

Just when it seemed that Almeria had scored a consolation goal, Thomas Partey's incredible bicycle kick was waved off for offside.

To add insult to injury, Barcelona counter-attacked following Almeria's disallowed goal and made it 4-0 when Suarez tapped in his second goal of the match after being set up by Pedro just before the final whistle.
