Sloppy start frustrates Hughes

The Potters conceded inside a minute at the Britannia Stadium thanks to Connor Wickham capitalising on an early error by Asmir Begovic, but Charlie Adam fired them level before half time.

It was, however, the fourth game in a row that Stoke have conceded first, something Hughes will be looking to put right in the final few weeks of the season.

???We made a very poor start conceding after about a minute and we were on the back foot,??? he said. ???We???ve conceded the opening goal one too many times recently and we???ve had to chase games.???

But Hughes was pleased with how his side responded to the early setback.

???After the goal I thought we were excellent,??? he added. ???We created plenty of chances but we weren???t there to finish them.

???I think you saw in the performance, we???re going to keep going as we look to get 14 wins for the first time in the Premier League.

???We missed out today but we???ve got other opportunities so we???ll keep going.???
