While the 101-93 win saw the Cavaliers sweep the Celtics 4-0 in the first round of the NBA playoffs, it remains unclear how long Love will be out for.
Love suffered the injury when Celtics center Kelly Olynyk yanked on his shoulder and was called for a loose-ball foul with just over five minutes remaining in the first quarter.
The Cavaliers have confirmed that Love will undergo further tests at the Cleveland Clinic Sports Health within the next 24 hours.
Speaking about the foul, Love was not at all impressed and believes that Olynyk dislocated his shoulder on purpose.
"I thought it was a bush-league play," Love said after the game. "I have no doubt in my mind that he did it on purpose."
The Cavaliers will be hoping that Love makes a full recovery prior to the second round of the playoffs since he averaged 18.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the first three games against the Celtics.
