Steve Bruce has confirmed the Hull midfielder will not feature for Hull in their final three games.??
The 27-year-old has been out since 3 December with a knee injury and was set to return in February, before he received a further knock in training.
Bruce is boosted by the return of Nikica Jelavic and hopes he makes “the right decision” whether to start him or leave him on the bench.
The Hull manager said: “If Jelavic had been fit (all season) we wouldn’t be in the trouble that we’re in.”
Jake Livermore suffered a nasty knock on his ankle in Monday’s game against Arsenal. He hasn’t trained since then and is an injury doubt
Bruce believes one result won’t be enough to keep Hull up but concedes they would be unlucky to go down if they were to take four points from final three games
