Nottinghamshire recall Carter

Carter was a big hit in Wales, taking 12 wickets after being signed to cover the absence of injured Australian quick Michael Hogan.

Hogan is now back, and although Glamorgan were keen to retain Carter, Nottinghamshire have recalled him and he has gone straight into their squad for the Division One match with Durham.

Carter told Nottinghamshire???s website: “I wanted to play first-team cricket.

“They gave that opportunity at a time when all of the Nottinghamshire bowlers were fit.

“I’ve been focused on doing well for Glamorgan and I know Notts have been watching the matches and they wanted me to find form and fitness. It worked out well for all three parties.”

Jake Ball has been ruled out of the Durham game on Sunday with an injury, so either Carter or Luke Fletcher ??? who is also included after??missing the win over Hampshire ??? will replace him.
