Imhoff: “I have never cheated in my life”

Racing 92 winger Juan Imhoff has spoken out for he first time since being cleared of using corticosteroids, labelling the media reports as 'hurtful.'.

Imhoff, former All Blacks Joe Rokocoko and Dan Carter tested positive for the banned substance after last year's Top 14 final between Racing 92 and Toulon.

However, all three Racing players and the club were later cleared of any wrong-doing by a French Rugby Federation medical commission and the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) over the incident.

The Argentina international has revealed his intention to put the rumours of 'the corticoid affair' to bed 'once and for all'.

"It's not a release for me, I never felt in danger," Imhoff told Le Parisien.

"I feel good because I was able to lend a helping hand to the Federation and the AFDL to show that rugby is a clean sport.

"The very thing that bothered me and hurt is the media exposure, because I have never cheated in my life."
