NHL Wrap: Blue Jackets move past Rangers after 5-2 win

The Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Rangers 5-2 on Sunday thanks to two goals each from Cam Atkinson and Alexander Wennberg.

Josh Anderson got the other goal and Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 stops as the Blue Jackets won for the fourth time in five.

Columbus moved past the Rangers into third place in the Metropolitan Division.

Rick Nash and Jesper Fast scored for the Rangers.

The Blackhawks won a fourth straight on Artem Anisimov’s goal with 5:20 left in the third as they beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2.

Tanner Kero scored into an empty net with 2.6 seconds left.

Patrick Kane scored a power-play goal while Jonathan Toews also netted for Chicago, who are now just one point behind Minnesota in the Central Division and Western Conference.

Blackhawks’ Duncan Keith earned his 500th NHL point.

Magnus Paajarvi and Alex Pietrangelo scored for St. Louis.

Boston beat the Stars 6-3 in Dallas with two goals and an assist from Patrice Bergeron.

Dallas tied the game in the second period after coming back from 2-0 down only for Frank Vatrano and Bergeron to score two quick goals.

Bergeron scored his second and 16th goal of the season in the third period to seal the win.

Brad Marchand, David Krejci scored in the first period for the Bruins. Marchand had two assists and Torey Krug had three assists.

John Klingberg and Jiri Hudler got the goals for Dallas, before Tyler Seguin scored a consolation in the third.

Viktor Arvidsson got the go-ahead goal for Nashville as the Predators beat Edmonton 5-4.

Filip Forsberg, Ryan Ellis, Vernon Fiddler and Colin Wilson grabbed the other goals for Nashville.

Connor McDavid, Milan Lucic, Mark Letestu and Jordan Eberle netted for Edmonton.

Johnny Gaudreau scored twice and notched an assist as Calgary beat Carolina 3-1.

Micheal Ferland added the other goal for the Flames. who moved into a playoff position in the Western Conference.

Victor Rask scored on a power play for the Hurricanes.

Brian Elliott made 34 saves for Calgary.

Kyle Turris netted the winning goal in the second period as Ottawa beat Florida 2-1.

Zack Smith grabbed an early short-handed goal for the Senators, for whom Craig Anderson made 37 saves.

Jonathan Marchessault scored for Florida.

Radim Vrbat’s late goal with 18.9 seconds left capped a third period comeback for Arizona as the Coyotes beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-2.

Max Domi and Jamie McGinn also scored for the Coyotes.

Jack Eichel and Evan Rodrigues had earlier put the Sabres 2-0 up.
