The??six-team competition in??Texas had included Chivas Guadalajara (Mexico), Malaga (Spain),??Lyon (France), Pachuca (Mexico) and Raja Casablanca (Morocco) and was due to run from??July 11-19.
A statement on the official Swansea website said the club would now turn their??attentions to new pre-season preparations ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.
“We will announce the new plans as soon as they are confirmed,” said the??statement. “We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our supporters.”
Swansea manager Garry Monk had previously expressed his enthusiasm over the trip to America, saying: “You’re getting a chance to grow the brand a little bit better. It’s another step forward and America’s a great market.
“If we can get it right it would be good for everyone, not only the players??and staff of the club but also the fans.”
Swansea held a training camp in Chicago last summer and played friendlies??against Chivas and Minnesota United.
