The New York Rangers kept their Stanley Cup hopes alive with a 7-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
A Derick Brassard hat-trick helped Rangers tie the NHL Eastern Conference finals at 3-3 and set up a decider on Friday at Madison Square Garden, where New York have never lost a Game Seven.
Brassard and Keith Yandle put the visitors 2-0 up before Ryan Callahan halved the deficit with a powerplay goal.
It stayed that way through a scoreless second period but then Rangers took charge in the third with early goals from JT Miller, James Sheppard and Brassard.
Nikita Kucherov fired in a double for the Lightning either side of Rick Nash’s powerplay goal, but Brassard had the final say by firing into an empty net with 1:41 left.
