PSV Eindhoven have received a major boost as they continue in their pursuit of Eredivisie glory with news that Jurgen Locadia is set to return to first-team action from a long-term injury.
The Champions are looking for their third successive title in the Dutch top-flight but currently trail leaders Feyenoord by eight points and Ajax Amsterdam in second place by five points.
However, Phillip Cocu's side have an opportunity to cut down the lead this Sunday, when they travel to Rotterdam to face De Stadionclub.
And as they prepare for the fixture, Boeren will welcome the return of their star striker after he played for Jong PSV on Monday evening – his first game since August after a terrible knee injury.
"I feel like I could sit on the bench. But I do not know what the coach will decide," Locadia said in response to whether he will feature against the league leaders.
"How my schedule looks now for the next few weeks? That's up to the coach, but I am fit and have only a thick ankle.
"I received some taps on it tonight. That will last for two more days or something, but my knee is fine. I just feel fit."
