Between drivers Sam Bird and Jose Maria Lopez, DS Virgin Racing believe they have every reason to be confident ahead of the upcoming Buenos Aires ePrix.
After a nearly three-month long break in the calendar, Formula E returns for the third round of action in Argentina this week, and DS Virgin are feeling bullish.
In Bird, they have the defending champion of the event, someone who is comfortable with the track and knows what it takes to win.
In Lopez, they have the only Argentinian in the Formula E series, and someone who is certain to have loads of crowd support behind him.
“I’m getting a lot of media asking me how I’ll perform in Buenos Aires, it being my home country,” said Lopez.
“Well, I have the team, and I have the car, so I think I have as good a chance as anyone out there on race day. I’m just excited to go out and race in front of my fans!”.

Bird, meanwhile, could barely contain his excitement at getting back out there.
“It’s a great race for drivers and better still, a great day out for spectators. After my win there last season, I’m hugely excited to get back to Buenos Aires to try and repeat the feat.”
DS Virgin have also been boosted by the addition of new Testing & Development driver Alex Lynn, who joins them in Buenos Aires this week.
“DS Virgin Racing really are fully charged ahead of Buenos Aires.” said Team Principal Alex Tai. “In Marrakech Sam podiumed, in a car our fantastic mechanics had rebuilt literally minutes before the race commenced. Pound for pound, Sam is one of the best and most experienced drivers in Formula E, whilst our newcomer Jose Maria Lopez offers enormous potential, and I look forward to seeing him demonstrate his capabilities in front of his home crowd.”
The Buenos Aires ePrix takes place on Saturday, February 18th, at 4pm local time.
