Kruis gives Jones some good news

England have been boosted by the news that George Kruis should be ready to play in their Six Nations opener against France.

However, the lock will miss Saracens' next two Champions Cup games.

Kruis fractured his cheekbone against Newcastle on Christmas Eve, but Saracens Director of Rugby Mark McCall has confirmed he will be fit to play at Twickenham on February 4.

"George will be fine for the Six Nations. The question is whether he'll play against Toulon or not. We won't know that until next week but I'd say it's unlikely," McCall said.

While Kruis will be ready for international duty, it will come after spending six weeks on the sidelines which means he won't be match fit.

There is also hope for Mako Vunipola to play some part in the Six Nations after McCall revealed he could be ready for action at the end of February.
