NHL Wrap: Fabbri hat-trick gives Philadelphia the Blues

The St Louis Blues rallied to come from 3-2 behind to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 6-3 with Robby Fabbri scoring his first NHL hat-trick on Wednesday night.

The Flyers opened the scoring through Wayne Simmonds but that was cancelled out with goals by Kevin Shattenkirk and Fabbri to put the Blues 2-1 ahead.

Nick Cousins got things back to equal terms for Philadelphia and Brayden Schenn put the Flyers 3-2 up early in the third period. Two goals in 80 seconds by David Perron and Scottie Upshall turned things around before Fabbri scored twice in the final five minutes for the 6-3 victory.

In other action, the Pittsburgh Penguins come from behind and beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 with goals from Chris Kunitz, Carl Hagelin and Sidney Crosby while Elias Lindholm and Lee Stempniak scored for the Hurricanes.

Tyler Johnson scored twice, one in overtime, to help the Tampa Bay Lightning to rally for a 4-3 win over Montreal Canadiens after trailing 3-1 at one stage.

A third round shootout goal by Mithcell Marner gave the Toronto Maple Leafs a 3-2 win over the Florida Panthers and Ryan Miller was in great form making 36 saves as the Vancouver Canucks downed the Los Angeles Kings 2-1.
