The Montreal Canadiens hammered the Detroit Red Wings 5-0 to create NHL history with a franchise-record 10th home win on Saturday night.
The victory means that the Canadiens have now chalked up 13 wins in the season so far.
Phillip Danault, Paul Byron, Shea Weber, Andrew Shaw and Max Pacioretty all scored for the Atlantic Conference leaders.

The Nashville Predators beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-0 with James Neal scoring a brace while the San Jose Sharks downed the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 and the New Jersey Devils were 4-2 victors over the Buffalo Sabres.
The Columbus Blue Jackets looked good in their 8-4 win over the St Louis Blues with Sam Gagner scoring twice in a comfortable victory.
In other NHL action, there were victories for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Florida Panthers, the New York Rangers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Boston Bruins.
