NHL Wrap: Blackhawks end Washington streak

The Chicago Blackhawks halted Washington’s seven-game winning streak in the NHL after recording an overtime win over the Capitals on Friday night.

Marcus Johansson scored the winner midway through the additional period as the Blackhawks snatched a 3-2 victory.

Elsewhere, four goals in the final period saw the Toronto Maple Leafs come from behind to stun the Philadelphia Flyers 6-3 as Morgan Reilly scored one goal and made three others.

The Colorado Avalanche beat the Winnipeg Jets 3-2, with Rene Bourque credited with the winning strike, while Andy Greene scored the overtime winner that handed the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 triumph over the Buffalo Sabres.

The Ottawa Senators saw off the Los Angeles Kings 2-1, while the Dallas Stars edged out the Edmonton Oilers 3-2.
