Sale Sharks utility forward Josh Beamont has been called up to England's training squad for their end-of-year internationals.
Beaumont will act as injury cover for Courtney Lawes, who will remain with the squad. Beaumont will join up with the squad at their training base in Portugal on Monday.
The uncapped 24-year-old, who can play in the back or second row, appeared in a non-test cap victory for England over the Barbarians in May 2015 and also featured in head coach Eddie Jones' first Elite Player Squad last January before picking up an injury.
This season, Beaumont was named as captain of Sale Sharks.
England's squad will be in Portugal for a week of training before returning to England’s base at Pennyhill Park to prepare for the opening game against South Africa at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 12 November.
