Low: We ran Czechs ragged

Coach Joachim Low was pleased with his Germany team following their 3-0 win over the Czech Republic on Saturday in Hamburg, saying that they had run the Czechs ragged.

The Germans prevailed thanks to two goals from Thomas Muller and one from Toni Kroos in a polished display of attacking football, and Low was left to sing the praises of his team.

"You could see after an hour that we had run our opponents ragged," he said. "They had no chance after that."

Low was also happy with his defence, adding, "From the back we played very well. The Czechs started by hitting us with consistent diagonal balls, but we defended and repeatedly broke.”

Forward Mario Gotze did not enjoy a great night, missing a few chances, but Low was still pleased with the Borussia Dortmund player.

"He worked hard and had a great chance in the first half," said Low. "One or two times he was offside, but he is still improving."

Germany moved to the top of Group C ahead of Azerbaijan on goal difference and now face  Northern Ireland in Hanover on Tuesday as they look to maintain their 100 percent record.
