Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac is confident star Liam Williams will remain at the region and sign a contract with the Welsh Rugby Union.
Williams has been with the Scarlets since 2011 and is a key player for the side, developing into a top class international in the process.
The 25-year-old shone for Wales in their June three-Test series with New Zealand and Pivac hopes the full-back will ink a new contract.
"Liam is one of our favourite sons at the Scarlets and we'd like to see him here for a number of years to come," he told BBC Sport.
"I know the WRU would love to see him stay in Wales and together we'll be working to achieve that."
There's been reports that the Ospreys are keen on Williams, but Pivac thinks staying at the Scarlets seems more likely for the player.
"Look, anything's possible, isn't it. But no, I wouldn't think that would be the case," he said, with the Scarlets winless thus far in 2016/17.
