Gloucester signing Jeremy Thrush says he is starting to find his feet after a successful preseason.
The former Hurricanes lock says that the preseason has got him back to his physical best and knows what they need to achieve.
"I guess I have found my feet a little bit more and know what we are trying to achieve instead of being thrown in there and not having as much of an explanation of the way we want to go about the game," Thrush told Gloucestershire Live.
"It's a long pre-season so it is good for the body as well. There have been little changes in training and how we want to play the game in making sure those ambitions come true at the end of the season."
Thrush also said his former club's Super Rugby win is perpetuating his drive for Gloucester success.
"There has been a lot of hard work over the years from the boys (Hurricanes) and to achieve that result is brilliant for the club, the franchise and a lot of fans … It is awesome to see the guys get it done," Thrush said.
"It drives you and makes you want to do stuff for Gloucester too. It is something to keep striving for and what we want to achieve before I leave."
