Former Springbok coach Jake White denied the speculation that he is trying to poach young South African players at Craven Week.
His response came after it was reported that French clubs are trying to sign South Africa's 20 best school-level rugby players at the under-18 competition this year.
White said as much as he likes working with South African players he had no intention of signing such young athletes.
"As much as I enjoy working with South African players and understand their psyche, I was not instructed to recruit young players," White told Netwerk24.
"We’re competing with the best rugby clubs in Europe and have to get the best players here. I’m not going to concern myself with 17-,18- and 20-year-olds."
