Report: Oden joins Jiangsu

Former number one draft pick Greg Oden has agreed to sign a one-year, $1.2 million deal with the Jiangsu Dragons, according to reports.

Oden, who most recently played for the Miami Heat in the 2013/14 NBA season, will be looking to use the Chinese Basketball Association as a means to resurrect his injury-plagued career.

The seven-foot center was picked over Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2007 NBA Draft, but Oden's career has been curtailed time and time again by knee injuries.

The Heat offered Oden a lifeline in August 2013 after he missed three seasons, but the 27-year-old did not live up to expectations and only averaged 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in the 23 games he played.
