Sri Lanka have called up uncapped seamer, Chaminda Bandara to replace the injured Dushmantha Chameera for the third and final Test at Lord's.
Chameera suffered a lower-back injury ruling him out for the remainder of the tour. Bandara will join Kusal Perera on a flight to England, after Perera was called up to replace the injured Dhammika Prasad.
Chief selector Sanath Jayasuriya told ESPN Cricinfo: "Bandara has been performing well domestically and he is the best choice available at the time for the English conditions."
The tourists suffered yet another blow to their already weakened bowling lineup, when Shaminda Eranga's action was reported as suspect following Sri Lanka's defeat in the second test at Chester-le-Street. Sri Lanka will await the outcome of tests on Eranga's action, which will take place on June 6, before making any decision regarding his place in the team.
Bandara was the leading bowler in Sri Lanka's first-class competition last season, and his performance sees him move ahead of Vishwa Fernando, and Kasun Rajitha in the Test pecking order. Bandara has played 51 First-class matches, taking 141 wickets at an average of 29.85.
The final test at Lord's will get under way on June 9, with Sri Lanka desperate to salvage some pride after being on the receiving end of two heavy defeats.
