Robots take charge at the Steelers’ camp

The Pittsburgh Steelers have taken innovation to a new level by using robots as part of their training camp.

The Steelers have taken advantage of the remarkable technology that allows a robotic dummy to accurately simulate the movements of an opposing player on the field.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said: “The applications we’re quickly finding are endless. It never gets tired, it runs at an appropriate football speed. All the position groups are getting an opportunity to use it.

“It’s funny, you put it on the field and watch the guys and they show you the applications. They say ‘hey, make it do this’. It’s been fun over the past few days watching that grow.”
