Veteran forward Glen Davis will be out of action for the next two to three months after undergoing surgery on his left ankle.
Davis, who is currently unsigned, injured his ankle while playing for the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6 of their first round playoffs series against the San Antonio Spurs last season. In addition to having his ligaments repaired when he went under the knife, the 29-year-old had a cyst and a bone spur removed.
Davis came off the bench in all 74 games he played for the Clippers last season, and averaged just 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game as he only played an average of 12.2 minutes.
While Davis is currently a free agent, he is in talks about re-signing with the Clippers. However, should that not work out, it has been reported that the Dallas Mavericks are interested in acquiring his services.
