Goaltender Kari Lehtonen shone with 35 saves as the Dallas Stars beat the St Louis Blues 3-2 to set up a Game Seven decider in the Western Conference semi-finals.
Rookie Mattias Janmark, Vernon Fiddler and Jason Spezza scored for the Stars, who prevailed despite being outshot 37-14.
Alexander Steen and Patrik Berglund found the net for the Blues, who surrendered home-ice advantage for the decider on Wednesday evening.
Viktor Arvidsson scored the winning goal 2:03 into overtime as the Nashville Predators also forced a Game Seven against the San Jose Sharks with a 4-3 win.
