NBA Wrap: Wall extinguishes Heat

Despite playing with a knee injury, John Wall scored 26 points to lead the Washington Wizards to a 114-103 win over the Miami Heat. 

Wall was well supported by Bradley Beal and Gary Neal, who both scored 21 points. 

Dwyane Wade had 26 points on 12 of 15 shooting for the Heat. 

The Charlotte Hornets cruised past the Detroit Pistons 104-84 at the Time Warner Cable Arena. 

Hornets center Cody Zeller scored 20 points and pulled down six rebounds as the Hornets snapped the Pistons’ four-game winning streak. 

Ersan Ilyasova was the Pistons’ best player with 15 points and 13 rebounds. 

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points as the San Antonio Spurs demolished the Philadelphia 76ers 119-68. 

Robert Covington, Nerlens Noel and Nik Stauskas all scored 13 points for the Sixers. 

The Dallas Mavericks downed the New York Knicks 104-97 in front of their fans at Madison Square Garden. 

Mavericks veteran Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points and grabbed six rebounds, while the Knicks were led by rookie Kristaps Porzingis, who dropped 28 points. 

Kyle Lowry scored 27 points as the Toronto Raptors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 102-93. 

Lowry, who also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists, received some excellent support from Terrence Ross, who scored 22 points on eight of 12 shooting. 

Kobe Bryant was the Lakers’ top-scorer with 21 points. 

Mirza Teletovic scored the game-winner with just 0.3 seconds left to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 103-101 win over the Chicago Bulls

Teletovic finished the game with 20 points, while Suns guard Brandon Knight had 21. 

Bulls center Pau Gasol recorded a double-double, which consisted of 22 points and 10 rebounds. 

Greg Monroe made a go-ahead lay-up with 5.1 seconds left as the Milwaukee Bucks skirted past the Portland Trail Blazers 90-88. 

Monroe scored 16 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and also dished out three assists. 

Damian Lillard starred for the Trail Blazers with 23 points. 

A terrific game from DeAndre Jordan saw the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-106. 

Jordan scored 20 points on eight of nine shooting to go with 12 rebounds and four blocks. 

Reigning NBA Slam Dunk champion Zach LaVine dropped 21 points for the Timberwolves. 

Isaiah Thomas scored 22 points as the Boston Celtics cruised past the New Orleans Pelicans 111-93. 

Thomas received some much-needed help from Kelly Olynyk, who scored 21 points. 

Ryan Anderson scored a team-high 18 points for the Pelicans.
