NBA legend Michael Jordan is earning far more money now than he did during his playing days.
In his playing days for Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards, Jordan made a lot of money, but that pales in significance to what he gets now according to an infographic compiled by Lisa Overton from PBS.
According to Overton, in a decade and a half as a player Jordan made US$94 million. In 2014 alone, he netted US$100 million; his last game was in 2003.
Jordan's association with Nike and the massive growth of his brand Air Jordan has made him the biggest earner among retired players last year.
In 1984 when Jordan started in the NBA for the Bulls as a number three draft pick his salary started at under US$1 million but got more as he got better and he earned US$33 million in 1997 before the salary cap was implemented.
In March 2015, according to Forbes magazine's annual list of the world's richest people, Jordan came in at 1741st with a US$1 billion net worth.
