Weather wreaks havoc on MLB

Three Major League Baseball games were postponed on Friday after heavy rain powered by Hurricane Joaquin made for unplayable conditions.

The New York Mets home fixture against the Washington Nationals was postponed until Saturday, as were the matches between the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees in Maryland, and the Philadelphia Phillies and the Miami Marlins.

All three games will now form double headers on Saturday, but the rescheduled fixtures are in some doubt too as the bad weather streams in from the Atlantic.
