Justin Gatling broke Usain Bolt’s 100m world record on live television recently, albeit thanks to a little help from mother nature.
The American sprinter was appearing on Japanese television, and the makers of the Kasupe! show decided to give him a bit of an assist in the form of a super strong gusts at his back.
With the help of a tailwind of 20 miles per hour, Gatlin ran the 100m in just 9.45s – comfortably beating Bolt’s record mark of 9.58.
