As Adamson gears up to face powerhouse La Salle in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament this weekend, team captain Mylene Paat looked heavyset in their training session Thursday night.
This the Pangasinan native attributed to some knee problems she’s having.
“Ayaw ko talaga aminin sa sarili ko. Pero yung both knees ko medyo masakit,” she told FOX Sports. “Nag-twist ako nung training tapos bagsak ko mali.”
But with the Lady Spikers next on their crosshairs, Paat will gladly battle through the injuries to help the Lady Falcons against their favored foes.
“Hindi lang ako nakakabend masyado, pero siyempre kaya naman. Strong naman ako,” she added. “Before nagpapa-therapy ako, pero ngayon ako nalang nagthe-therapy sa sarili ko.”
Sure she will play against La Salle, Paat opened up a little about their preparations for the back-to-back runners-up.
“These past days, pinaghandaan namin ang attacks ng DLSU. Floor defense talaga yung pinaglalaban namin. Blocking at defense,” she said. — By Arylle Magtalas
